Description

The Target portable gas detector from Enmet offers complete versatility and ease of use in one compact unit. TheTarget can operate up to six sensors simultaneously with a continuous display of each sensor’s calibrated gas level. Audible and visual alarms are standard, as is the data logging feature. This offers easy downloading of the day’s events directly to a printer, computer, or the optional Enmet Communicator Pack. The Pack removes the detector’s information for future downloading without detaining the unit from the next shift or user.

The alarm levels are fully selectable in the password accessible maintenance menu or can be viewed along with TWA and STEL levels in the readily available read-only menu.

The electronics are housed in a tough water resistant housing of extruded metal with a cast sensor protection cap. RFI/EMI protection is thereby maximized. The user is provided a belt clip with optional shoulder strap or body harness.

Especially unique is the sensor configuration available for your protection. The sensors include: one Oxygen (electrochemical), one Combustible (pellister pair), two Selective Toxic (near-specific electrochemical for Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Sulfide), and one Broad Range Toxic (MOS Metallic Oxide Semiconductor). This provides you with complete protection. The Selective sensors target the two main toxic gases of concern in a confined space while the Broad Range backs you up against unknowns. These may be present when you enter a space or could contaminate the space while you are in there working.

Operation

A single push of the On/Off key will initiate the system warm-up and purge the sensors of any contamination from downtime. The electronics automatically goes through a quick diagnostic check and auto-zero function and within 90 seconds, the unit is ready. A back light can be temporarily turned on to view the readings in poorly lit areas. The rest is taken care of by the Target. Should an alarm occur, the audible alarm can be acknowledged with the stroke of the key. After a full days use (up to 19 hours without pump !), charging is accomplished within a few hours using the supplied wall adapter.
